When a drawing lands in your inbox, the RFQ is drafted before you’re off the machine.
Machine shops, fabricators and engineering works quote off drawings, materials and machine time. Stubie structures the enquiry, prices what your list covers, and flags what needs an estimator's eye.

RFQs arrive in every format
A PDF drawing, a photo of a worn part, an email with dimensions from memory. Each one needs sorting before anyone can price it.
Estimating eats skilled hours
The person who can price a job is the person who should be machining it. Every quote written is an hour of spindle time lost.
Repeat work, re-quoted from scratch
The same bushes, shafts and brackets come back every few months, and someone prices them again, sometimes differently.
Repeat parts priced from history, new work sent to your estimator
Parts you've made before are matched to their history and priced off your list: quantities, material rates, machine time. New or complex work isn't guessed: it lands in the queue flagged for the estimator, with the drawing and every detail already structured.
- Part history: the bush you made in March prices the same today
- Material rates and machine-time bands from your own list
- Drawings and photos attached to the quote and the job card

Complex one-off jobs can't be priced from a list. What then?
They aren't. Anything outside your list's confidence lands in the queue flagged "needs estimator", with the drawing and details structured and the customer already told you're on it. Stubie's value there is the triage and the follow-up, not the price.
Steel prices move weekly. Does the list keep up?
Material rates are separate entries you update in one place. Change the EN8 rate and every quote from that moment uses it. Quotes also carry a valid-until date, so old prices expire themselves.
Our corporate customers pay on 30-day terms, not deposits. Does chasing still work?
Yes. Payment rules are per customer. Account customers skip the deposit and get invoice reminders against their terms instead; cash customers get the deposit flow. Both land in your account, both are matched by reference.
