How the calculator works

Everything is per month, using 4.33 weeks a month and only the numbers you enter:

  • Hours quoting = enquiries a month × minutes per quote ÷ 60.
  • Hours chasing = enquiries a month × your win rate × minutes chasing each payment ÷ 60.
  • Value of that time = total hours × what an hour of your time is worth.
  • Orders lost to slow replies = enquiries a month × the share that went cold × your win rate, valued at your average job.

Why reply speed belongs in the sum

Customers who ask for a price on WhatsApp usually ask more than one supplier. International research found that businesses replying within an hour were about seven times more likely to qualify a lead than those that took longer (Harvard Business Review, 2011). If you don’t know your number, 10% is a cautious place to start.

What Stubie changes

Stubie reads each enquiry and drafts the priced quote from your list, so your part is a two-tap approval instead of a fifteen-minute write-up. Each accepted quote gets its own EFT reference and follow-ups, so chasing stops being a job. On a live order, the draft was ready 51 seconds after the enquiry landed. Try it in the live demo or compare it with hiring an admin.
