Stubie + PayFast · PaymentsLive
Customers accept and pay the quote on the same page, through PayFast.
Some customers will always pay by EFT. Others want to tap a card and be done. With Stubie's PayFast integration they get both, right under the Accept button, and the money lands in your own PayFast account.
EFT with a reference made for every order Live
Every accepted quote gets its own payment reference, like STB-7K4M, and the customer pays by EFT straight into your own bank account. Stubie sends the banking details the moment they accept, and when you record the payment, a receipt goes out and the order moves into production.
Plain EFT has no gateway in the middle and no fee on top, and Stubie never takes a percentage.
Card and Instant EFT through PayFast Live
The hosted quote page has two more buttons under Accept: pay the deposit, or pay in full. The customer finishes on PayFast's own secure page with a card or Instant EFT, and comes straight back to a confirmation.
PayFast tells Stubie the payment cleared (its ITN notification), so the order is marked paid, the receipt goes out and the job releases without you touching anything.
How Stubie and PayFast work together
Four steps, and none of them is you retyping something.
Customer accepts
On your hosted quote page, under your business name, with the lines and total they agreed to.
Chooses how to pay
Deposit or full amount, by card or Instant EFT through PayFast, or by plain EFT with the order reference.
PayFast confirms
PayFast notifies Stubie the moment the payment clears. No screenshots of proof of payment to check.
Order releases
Marked paid, receipt sent, job released to the workshop. Nobody checked a bank statement.
How it works with your account
- Your own PayFast merchant account. Money goes from PayFast to you; Stubie never holds or routes it.
- PayFast's standard fees apply to card and Instant EFT payments. Stubie adds nothing on top and takes no percentage.
- Plain EFT with the order reference stays available beside PayFast, so customers who prefer it lose nothing.
- Deposits and balances are tracked per order: part paid shows as part paid until the rest lands.
PayFast questions
Do I need my own PayFast account?
Yes. Payments go into your own PayFast merchant account and then to your bank, as they would today. Stubie only listens for PayFast's confirmation so it can mark the order paid.
Does Stubie take a cut of card payments?
No. You pay PayFast's normal transaction fees for card and Instant EFT. Stubie's price is the flat monthly fee, with no percentage of your orders or payments.
Can customers still pay by normal EFT?
Yes. The EFT option with the order's own reference stays on the page. Many customers prefer it, and it costs you nothing.
How do I switch PayFast on?
Give us your PayFast merchant details during setup, or ask us to add PayFast to a desk you already run. Plain EFT keeps working alongside it.
